Ghrelin

In one lineThe hunger hormone, whose receptor several peptides target.

Definition

A stomach hormone that stimulates appetite and, through its receptor in the pituitary, growth hormone release. Ipamorelin and the GHRPs are synthetic ghrelin mimetics; ibutamoren (MK-677) is an oral one. Hunger is a predictable side effect.
